ACMA Safer Drives: VR Game for road safety

Meet The Client

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) is the apex body representing the interest of the Indian Auto Component Industry. Its active involvement in trade promotion, technology up-gradation, quality enhancement and collection & dissemination of information has made it a vital catalyst for this industry’s development.

The Brief and objectives:

  • To engage the visitors at the 57th ACMA annual session by talking about road safety and to motivate them to take an action for it.
  • To educate users about road safety rules through gamification.
  • To motivate the visitors to visit ACMA safer drives website and pledge for road safety.

What we did

We created a Virtual reality game which simulates a driving experience on the road.

  • The VR set up was a part of the Safer Drives booth at the venue. Attendees played a short interactive game in Virtual reality and pledge for road safety after its completion.
  • The game simulated a real life driving scenario where the user had to drive a vehicle for 40 seconds and pass through hurdles and tests to ensure road safety.
  • Points were allotted out of 100 for each participant at the end of the game. After that they had to visit ACMA safer drive’s website and take a pledge for road safety.


 

Results

  • The event was attended by 1500+ members from the auto component industry out of which almost 1000 of them participated in the VR activity.
  • There were 650+ pledges by the participants.

The Brief and objectives:

  • To inform the public, auto component manufacturers, distributors and sellers about road safety and to motivate them to take an action for it.
  • Creating public awareness on usage of genuine auto parts to prevent road accidents using social media as the primary medium of communication.
  • To tackle apathy towards accident victims and indifference towards traffic rules.
  • To support the cause – National Road Safety Week organized by The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, government of India.

What we did

We created a campaign called ACMA safer drives. This campaign urged public and auto component makers/sellers to take a pledge to ensure road safety. The campaign was designed to educate the audience about good road safety practices and to come together to take an action.

Users were urged to take a pledge for road safety. They were also asked to participate in the #ACMAsaferDrives Contest where they could write a safety slogan and win prizes. There were on ground activities like the walkathon and road shows where we reached out to the public and engaged with them.

Results

  • ACMA safer drives reached out to 1,21,423 people on Facebook. 200+ users on twitter contributed to our hashtag thereby reaching out to 1.1 million people and garnering 3000+ Pledges on our website.
  • Almost 6000 people engaged with us on Facebook while twitter got engagement from 200+ users.
  • Total people reached: 2 million+
    Total People Engaged with: 6000 +
    Total pledges: 3000+
  • Total contest entries: 250+

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting: Ek Nayi Subah Campaign

Meet The Client

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is a branch of the Government of India is the apex body for formulation and administration of the rules and regulations and laws relating to information, broadcasting, the press and films in India.

The Brief

The NDA government completed their 2 years in 2016 and the Ministry of IB organized a 2 hour event to showcase the good work done by the Government, along with some cultural performances from both artists and celebrities. Popular actors Like Amitabh Bacchan and Madhavan graced the event.  We were asked to promote the event across social media channels and spread awareness.

What we did

We created a social media campaign which used both organic and paid methods to spread awareness about the event. Some of the things we did in the campaign are:

  1. We set up social media channels for Ek Nayi Subah and created awareness about the program through both organic and paid methods
  2. We informed people about the agenda of the program, case studies, panel discussions and celebrity performances they will witness in the program
  3. We created videos which talked about the event at motivated users to go watch the event.
  4. We informed people that the program will be Live telecasted on Doordarshan and will be Live streamed on YouTube
  5. We  created excitement and chatter around the event and drove users to watch the program. PM Modi’s speech and Performances by Top Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan were important hooks.
  6. The promotions also helped us share snippets of the good work done by the NDA Government in the past 2 years.

  1. Ek Nayi Subah reached out to 5,33,245 people on Facebook. 2000+ users on twitter contributed to our hashtag thereby reaching out to 11 million people and garnering 79 million timeline deliveries

Salebhai #AamBaat Campaign

Meet The Client

SaleBhai is an e-commerce platform that offers a unique experience for it’s users which revolves around the philosophy ‘back to roots’. The brands lets people fulfill their desires by offering a variety of authentic sweets, snacks, fruits and more from across India, which makes people relive their childhood memories irrespective of their whether they live in their hometown or not.

The Brief

To create an interesting campaign for promoting the different varieties of Mangoes sold on their website, across channels in the summer of 2016.  We had to create both buzz for the product variants and motivate users to purchase them from the client’s website.

What we did

The Idea: We promoted the Mango variants through a campaign called #AamBaat. The Campaign talked about the origin and USPs of the Mangoes, how they are grown and quality is ensured. We also created stories around the Mangoes and informed users with interesting information content through blog articles.

Execution: Both SaleBhai and WeBeeSocial created an integrated strategy where a mix of print ads, Rich media ads, website landing pages, Social Media etc. were used to run the 90 day campaign.
