Twitter’s new ad format: conversational ads
Twitter has announced a new ad format called conversational ads. So far, Promoted Tweets have helped marketers build engagement with images, videos and campaign hashtags that drive RTs, likes, and follows. The new ads are similar to Promoted Tweets, but include call-to-action buttons and customizable hashtags to encourage user engagement with brand tweets.
Which means, the ads can now talk back and simulate a conversation with the brand handle.
These formats, exclusive to Twitter, make it even easier for consumers to engage with and then spread a brand’s campaign message,’ as written by Andre Bragdon, Twitter revenue product manager, on Twitter’s blog.
When a user finds themselves at an ad, a simple tap on the call to action butt
As a thank you, the consumer then receives a message from the brand for having engaged with the Tweet’. said Bragdon.
Samsung canada is one of the first brands to leverage this for their online engagement.
This feature is still in beta, but Twitter has invited advertisers all over the world to try it out.
